New Braunfels has the home town friendship and feelings with the amenities of a large city! We have the most amazing waterpark, Schlitterbahn, we have two rivers to float and enjoy and then there is Wurstfest! The famous German festival that brings all the neighbors out to meet their guests! There is always something fun happening in New Braunfels! Our downtown area is full of the beautiful historic homes, with all of their charm. I work here, I live here, I play here. I love being a part of its awesome warmth.

WHAT MAKES NEW BRAUNFELS UNIQUE?

The Historic neighborhoods of Downtown New Braunfels is the essence of unique. Each home has its own character. Walking through our shops and homes is like walking on an old time movie set. The entire area is so special and the people make sure you feel welcome.

WHY WOULD SOMEONE WANT TO LIVE IN TRI-CITIES?

If someone is looking for a home that is surrounded by wonderful people and is as unique as they are, this is the place for them.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NEW BRAUNFELS RESTAURANTS?

We have several wonderful restaurants! Huisache is one of my favorites, but MacAdoo’s, The Downtower and Krause’s are strong contenders! Each offers a different venue and menu!! Huisache has a wine bar and they brought in old buildings and made them into shops! It allows you an opportunity to truly enjoy what our area has to offer! MacAdoo’s is inside of the old Post Office and they kept its charm! There are Fat Tuesday crawfish parties in February and wonderful seafood all year round! The Downtowner offers a more upscale menu with foods that will delight your tastebuds! Krause’s is similar to Wurstfest all year long! With their beer garden and flags of all of our heritage, it is a definite place to meet old and new friends

WHAT IS A GREAT NEW BRAUNFELS OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE?

Our rivers offer tubing, grilling and just plain fun! This beautiful city is full of parks! Landa Park has a huge spring fed swimming area that is sure to please the entire family. There is a diving board and a long slide, plus a kids area with shallow water. There is also an olympic size swimming pool and a train for family tours of the park. Fishing in the river and picnicking is always a pleasure!

WHAT NEW BRAUNFELS EVENTS ARE NOT TO BE MISSED?

I’d have to say Wurstfest is our most popular. It is a German festival that last 10 days long. Umpa music, local bands and favorites, potato pancakes and lots and lots of beer! Everyone dresses up and has a truly awesome time! But, there are plenty of other festivals too. Wassilfest is another great event where the local city groups compete for the best wassil! Bring your own flask, because it is kid-friendly and full of fun!!

WHAT IS THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP IN NEW BRAUNFELS?

There are so many shops nearby, and they are locally owned! Antiques, boutique dresses, kitchen items and home decor. If you can’t find what you need in our sweet town, you probably don’t need it.

WHAT IS A HIDDEN GEM IN NEW BRUANFELS?

Our home town is the hidden gem. When you visit you are treated like family inside all of our shops and restaurants. You will feel like you have just come home.

WHAT IS A PLACE TO TRULY DISCONNECT IN NEW BRAUNFELS?

Relax on a tube and float one of our gorgeous rivers and you are definitely free to leave your stress and worries on the shore. You find yourself laughing and enjoying the new friends you meet on the way.
