San Antonio and its surrounding communities saw increases across all categories for 2020 in its data provided by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) which reports on all areas contained within the MLS. There were 38,448 homes sold during the year, which was an 11 percent increase over 2019 (34,581 homes sold). “With all that 2020 brought us locally, regionally, nationwide, and worldwide, the end-of-year data certainly showed us continued growth of the housing market,” said Cher Miculka, SABOR's 2021 Chairman of the Board. "
Bexar County did especially well with 27,855 homes sold. Our city and surrounding areas are attractive places to own a home, both for locals and for transplants, and the numbers prove it." The average price of homes sold in 2020 was $294,106, with the median price for the year of $250,100. In all of Texas, the average price was $318,546, with a median of $260,000.
