Wurstfest 2019


Join us for a unique annual celebration rich in German culture and full of Texas fun! Located near the headwaters of the beautiful Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas! Here you’ll enjoy good food, music, dancing, exciting carnival rides and games, German, Texan and domestic beer, special events and the finest in Alpine and Bavarian Style Entertainment. Boerne Holiday Market Days


Since 1850, Main Plaza has been a center point of trade for the people of Boerne. In the present day, on the second weekend of every month, Main Plaza is home to a magical outdoor market that blends the traditions of the Texas Hill Country with the creations of today’s culture. Hundreds of festive booths display everything from collectibles and remembrances of the past to modern innovations that will bring a smile of wonder to those who stroll past. Begin welcoming in the holiday spirit at this special Market Days event that will have a holiday twist!

Stroll through Gruene Historic District enjoying complimentary beverages and special offers at the many participating shops. This event is also the official "Kringle Cash" kickoff, available at select retailers. Stroll as long as you can between 5 and 8 pm, then rest your feet at Gruene Hall with live music from 6-10 pm.

Pronounced Vy-noks-markt, this New Braunfels tradition offers the charm of open-air Christmas markets of Germany, except indoors. Enjoy Gemutlichkeit and fun at this three-day market supporting history education and preservation through the Sophienburg Museum and Archives. Shop over 60 merchants and artisans with unique German collectibles and ornaments, holiday decorations, apparel, jewelry & gifts. Spend time with friends or make it a date. Free Parking.

The annual Downtown Holiday Lighting and Santa’s Arrival is a free event celebrating the spirit of the holiday season in Downtown New Braunfels. The City of New Braunfels invites everyone to ring in the holiday season on Friday, November 22nd with the arrival of Santa Claus beneath a hundred thousand twinkling lights in historic downtown New Braunfels. The dazzling display of low energy and sustainable LED lights stretches through downtown and will remain lit for the holiday season. Free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at DTS after the tree lighting ceremony. Kid-friendly atmosphere.

Boerne Festival of Trees


This special event features fully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday décor generously donated by local individuals, civic groups and businesses. Visitors can stroll through the festive display and bid on holiday items to enjoy in their homes or businesses just in time for the holidays!
