San Antonio and its surrounding communities saw a one percent increase in February 2021's home sales compared to February 2020, according to data provided by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) which reports on all areas contained within the MLS. Despite the week-long snowstorm, 2,413 homes were still sold in February 2021 compared to February 2020's 2,395 home sales. “It's important to remember the vast changes that the nation is still experiencing. We remain hopeful and expect to see the housing market drive forward with many home options and sales,” said Cher Miculka, SABOR's 2021 Chairman of the Board. "The incoming demand for homes shows that Bexar County and the greater San Antonio areas remain an attractive place to live." The average price of homes sold in the area for February was $314,810 with a median price of $264,100. In all of Texas, the average price was $348,393--18.5 percent higher than February 2020--with a median of $275,000. ( Source: Sabor Monthly Report)
