Austinites gather each year to celebrate the nation's Independence Day. From backyard cookouts to community-wide affairs, this city's residents and visitors find plenty of ways to enjoy themselves at the country's birthday bash.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra will present the largest Independence Day celebration in Austin. Tens of thousands of families will be decked out in red, white, and blue for an amazing event complete with a fireworks display over the city skyline backed by symphonic patriotic classics.


Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic is an all-day event that will feature performances from artists on two stages, including Willie Nelson & Family, Luke Combs, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Hayes Carll, Colter Wall, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Gene Watson, Billy Joe Shaver, Johnny Bush, Folk Uke, Raelyn Nelson Band, and The Casey Kristofferson Band.


The second stage will have picnic tables where fans can eat, drink, celebrate, and watch their favorite artists, as well as a shopping area featuring a variety of Texas-based vendors. This year’s picnic will again put on a special fireworks display to commemorate the show and celebrate America’s birthday.


Attend the Hill Country Galleria for a free Independence Day festival with local art vendors, live music, barbecue, festival food, fair rides & games, and of course fireworks! Brought to you by Special Events Live, producers of Austin's beloved Pecan Street Festival.

They have a full event packed with live music at our outdoor Central Plaza and fireworks!



Once again, the band will perform in front of a crowd of thousands at Round Rock's Old Settlers Park, as part of the annual July 4 Frontier Days Celebration. Watermelon, sky divers, music and fireworks celebrate the 4th of July.

Celebrate Independence Day from the water! Be dazzled by the fireworks display over Lady Bird Lake from the best seat in the house – your boat! Late night rentals of kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards are by reservation with prepayment only.


Rowing Dock will close for regular rentals at 7:00pm and will re-open at 7:45pm for this event. Music at Auditorium Shores starts at 8:30pm and fireworks begin at 9:30pm. We have a limited number of boats, so make your reservations today.


July 4th // 9:30 PM: Fireworks Over Lake LBJ

End the evening with a dazzling display of fireworks, sparkling over Lake LBJ as we honor our Founding Fathers and the birth of our great nation.
