While some view real estate as a profession, Matt views it as his passion. His unique ability to value a house or piece of land is unmatched. He truly sets himself apart from the rest with his keen understanding of market dynamics and pricing trends. In an industry dominated by speculation, Matt provides his clients with empirical data and comprehensive pricing statistics. Whether it be selling a home or buying a piece of land, Matt loves helping his clients transition from one home or piece of land to another.
Prior to the real estate industry, Matt spent several years in Citi’s Global Energy Group in Houston, TX, where he was a Corporate and Investment Banking Analyst. During his time with Citi, Matt advised on several billion-dollar transactions across the oil and gas sector. He helped to underwrite several acquisition financings and supported the loan-making process from inception until close. Matt’s experience in investment banking gives him a unique set of skills that have proven to be invaluable when it comes to facilitating, negotiating, and closing deals.
Matt is from Austin, TX, and was raised in Northwest Hills where his parents still live today. He attended Hyde Park schools from grade school through high school, and later the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate degree in Finance and Energy Management. Matt lives in East Austin with his beagle-rescue, Allie, who he found abandoned on the side of the road.
In his spare time Matt enjoys fly fishing, hunting, marathon running, and snowboarding. When he is not working, Matt likes to spend his time hunting at his family’s ranch in Goldthwaite, TX, fly fishing any number of rivers, and running long distances. Matt’s goals are to one day take an Alaskan Dall Sheep with his bow, land a tarpon on his fly rod, and run 100 miles in less than 24 hours.
